AUSTIN, TX (PRWEB) August 31, 2006 -- TengoInternet, the oldest and largest wireless Internet service provider for the outdoor hospitality industry, today announced an exclusive sales and marketing agreement with Good Sam Parks to provide TengoInternet’s Wi-Fi services at Good Sam Parks. The Good Sam Park Network represents over 1,700 RV parks and campgrounds in the United States and Canada.

The Good Sam Club is the largest RV owners club in the world with over a million members and is a mainstay in the RVing community. The primary goal of the club is to make RVing safer and more enjoyable, and to save members money through club-endorsed benefits and services. Parks bearing the Good Sam Park designation provide the highest quality amenities and service in the industry.

Access to the Internet has become a “must have” for RVers. Now, RV Parks that are part of the Good Sam Park network can easily add Wi-Fi to their list of quality amenities through TengoInternet’s TengoZones.

“Offering TengoZones at Good Sam Parks is another way we do our best to provide a great experience to both the RVer and the campground,” said Joe Daquino, multimedia division vice-president for the Affinity Group, Inc. “Good Sam Parks strives to always provide the best quality experience to our parks and we felt a natural affinity with TengoInternet as its goal is to provide the same to its customers. We look forward to a long and fruitful partnership.”

Caribou Coffee Offers Free Wi-Fi Service For Customers;

MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 28, 2006--Caribou Coffee announced today that it will offer free wireless fidelity (Wi-Fi) service for its customers across the United States. Through a partnership with Wandering WiFi, Caribou Coffee is the first in the coffee industry and the largest company-owned retailer to offer a free Wi-Fi service using the latest security technology.

By September 2006, Caribou Coffee customers will have access to the Caribou Coffee sponsored Wi-Fi service at participating locations. Stores in Omaha, Nebraska, served as the test market for the initiative that will extend to all Caribou Coffee stores where fast-access Internet service is available. Caribou Coffee designed its Wi-Fi program to accompany the needs of the vast majority of its customers, who average less than an hour per user session. Customers can find information about participating Caribou Coffee locations at www.cariboucoffee.com.

Caribou Coffee CEO Michael J. Coles said, "Caribou Coffee is proud to offer our customers Wi-Fi service with the most innovative security offerings as a way to provide an excellent experience to our customers who visit our stores. Many of our customers integrate technology into their mobile lifestyle and by providing the Wi-Fi service at Caribou, our customers can enjoy an added convenience for both business and leisure purposes."

Customers will have access to free Wi-Fi during the first hour, and then will be asked to make a minimum $1.50 store purchase, about the price of a small cup of Caribou coffee, for each additional hour to receive a Wi-Fi access code.

Caribou Coffee selected Wandering WiFi to implement this first-of-its-kind project due to Wandering WiFi's solution for safe and secure Internet access while providing branding possibilities for Caribou. Wandering WiFi President John Marshall said, "Many locations that offer wireless access are more dangerous than customers think. In many instances, customers can be disappointed with challenges in getting connected, sending emails or more serious issues like viruses."

Connecting to the Wi-Fi service will deepen the customer's relationship with Caribou Coffee by utilizing a Caribou Coffee branded network page where customers can register and opt-in to receive coupons and premium items from Caribou Coffee. By offering connectivity without the complicated hassle of a lengthy login or credit card process, Caribou Coffee understands the convenience desired by its customers. While connected, customers can feel safe in this state-of-the-art, secure environment. Coles added, "It's about simplicity for the customer, and we understand the privacy that our customers want. Caribou Coffee is committed to be at the front of providing customer conveniences, great-tasting coffee and a comfortable atmosphere that make each experience at Caribou memorable."

Understanding the security issues of Wi-Fi was paramount. "Caribou Coffee proactively sought to employ top level security to enhance their customers' experience while ensuring reliability and safety in a wireless online environment," Marshall said. "Numerous concerns, such as content filtering, spam monitoring and prevention, and a convenient log-in are many of the concerns other Wi-Fi providers don't offer. Caribou Coffee underwent extensive research to make sure their customers could enjoy a premium branded experience combined with the latest security technology."

JiWire Launches ''Hotspot Helper'' Wi-Fi Software

SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 8, 2006--JiWire, the Wi-Fi company, today announced the release of Hotspot Helper, an integrated suite of essential software for Wi-Fi users. The suite includes:

-- Wi-Fi Security, which ensures Wi-Fi users' privacy at public hotspots

-- Wi-Fi Mailer, which guarantees email delivery, even at the many Wi-Fi hotspots that block outgoing email

-- Wi-Fi Hotspot Finder, an offline directory of more than 120,000 verified Wi-Fi hotspots in 128 countries

Each component of Hotspot Helper is an upgrade to its predecessor, JiWire SpotLock. JiWire also announced a strategic partnership with Tropos Networks, a leading provider of metro-scale Wi-Fi network solutions, to promote Hotspot Helper to users of its rapidly growing number of municipal wireless broadband networks. More information and free downloads of Hotspot Helper are available at www.jiwire.com/hotspot-helper.htm.

"Hotspot Helper integrates solutions to the most common challenges facing both novice and experienced Wi-Fi users: where to find a hotspot and how to use it safely, securely, and reliably," said Kevin McKenzie, chief executive officer of JiWire. "Since JiWire's inception, more than 20 million people have used our products and services. We think Hotspot Helper, which combines our worldwide hotspot directory with functionality that substantially enhances the Wi-Fi experience, will be even more popular."

Hotspot Helper is available as a free download, and its security and email delivery features may be used up to 30 minutes per day. Unlimited use of all the product's features may be purchased for $24.95 per year.

Tropos Networks selected JiWire for its MetroMesh Solution Partners program and endorsed Hotspot Helper as a best-in-breed complementary product to its metro-scale Wi-Fi offerings.

"We are proud to recommend this solution to our extensive base of MetroMesh customers," said Ron Sege, president and chief executive officer of Tropos Networks. "Hotspot Helper provides subscribers with rock-solid security features, solves irksome email delivery problems that can challenge Wi-Fi users, and includes JiWire's legendary public hotspot directory."

The AOL transition is set to be completed in early September, and the services to be offered for free include e-mail, instant messaging, a local phone number with unlimited incoming calls as well as safety and security features.
